18 June 2015 – Ruisseau de Fozieres

The walk started close to Lodeve, from the area under the motorway just beyond Takavenir

We followed the river valley up to Fozieres, following a rocky ascent on the more open side past several old mine workings, then descended by the old footpath, which is more wooded.

Ben explained about the different rock periods.

Distance: 5 km
Ascent: about 150 metres

9 April 2015 – Walk around Fozières

Contributed by Phyl
This week the walk was a circular walk starting at Fozieres. We followed the GR7 through a few vineyards and then came the very steep climb, a continuous climb for about 45 minutes. I think we all felt much fitter when we reached the grassy knoll at the col de Melanque. A time for chocolate, relaxing and admiring the superb views up the valley.
An easy gradual descent with views of Fozieres.

Allow just under 2.5 hours for this walk with good walkers.
